Here in Melbourne we've been what they call 'Water restriction stage 3A' for 1-2 year + ? due to 10 year drought. This not so restrictive, you can still water your garden at times and its still used for watering golf courses ! (stupid) We have a target of 155L per person per day. Electronic billboards show the usage and normally its c.140L ,and only topped 155L when it got to 47 celcius. Maybe the figures are skewed by swimming pool owners or agrcultural use on our behalf, etc. Private individuals do not use 500L 500 litres per days for Australians !
